IWC conference held in S. Korea in June 2005 will be stalemated by the insistence of the three pro-whaling countries on increasing catches for 'scientific purposes'. Japan will double its catch of Minke whales this year. Iceland will even object to the capture of Northern Right Whales in the North Atlantic; a species on the edge of extinction.
